It's a nice way to wake up early listening to an alarm tone which set as Walk off the Earth's spellbinding cover of multi-instrumentalist Gotye's "Somebody that I Used to Know". The indie band has a viral low-budget music video on YouTube and it already garnered more than a hundred million of views. Their hit video  shows five band members huddling in one accoustic guitar while performing the No.1 song on Billboard Hit Charts.

The Canadian indie experimental rock band formed in Burlington and now they signed a recording contract from Columbia Records. Walk off the Earth is widely recognized for performing renowned single hits on their YouTube channel, executing in unusual instruments such as Ukulele, Kazoo, Theremin, Cigar Box Guitar, Banjo, and Glockenspiel.

They have recorded original songs and MTVs that were generated by music impresario and the frontman of the band Gianni Luminati. The rocksteady band gained success through word of mouth with no support from high end record labels and management.

Walk off the Earth consists of Ryan Marshall (Guitar, Ukulele, Vocals and Trumpet), Mike Taylor aka the Beard Guy (Keyboards and Vocals), Joel Cassady (Drums and Cigar Box Guitar), Sarah Blackwood (Electric Guitar, Kazoo, Ukulele, Banjo, Bass, Vocals, Piano, Glockenspiel, Tambourine and Xylophone) and Gianni Luminati Nicassio (Electroacoustic Musical Instruments and Lead Vocals).

The National Day of Prayer, held every first Thursday of May, is a campaign launched by a private organization. The task force behind this endeavor is composed of Christians. This is not initiated by the government so it’s illogical to mess up politics to this occasion. The purpose to which this day was dedicated for should be respected. Period.



There are those who say that it is not prayers, rather reason, that could solve our problems. It’s true that prayers are helpful. Prayers are bounded by faith. Thus, the comfort or relief that this practice brings to believers is subjective. Nevertheless, we can all attest how prayers have saved us one way or another.



It should be noted as well that prayers, without actions, are useless. You can pray the whole day, with your knees on the floor, for your professor to approve the research paper you submitted. But if you did not even take the time to review what you have written, then there are little to no chances that your academic output would make the cut.

Bottomline is praying is not like, and should never be compared to, annual festivals. Since God works round the clock to lend us strength and wisdom, it shouldn’t take too much for us to reserve a few minutes everyday, to remember and thank him.

What is Vitiligo?
According to the American Vitiligo Research Foundation (AVRF), "Vitiligo is a chronic disease, appears due to the depigmentation in skin, in form of scattered whitish patches on limited or all parts of body."

It is Contagious!
Scientifically, it cannot be passed through physical contact. It's not infectious either! It has direct relation to white and citric acid foods
